I. What is the mWo?
The mWo (mellophone World order) was created in late February of 1999 and launched March 3rd, 1999. Created by Jason Lowe and Axel Foley, two Georgian mellos, it was started as a small joke. The mWo word spread and it is now a full fledged association for all mellophones across the United States.
II. Who are these dudes (Jason and Axel)?
Jason Lowe is from Austell, Georgia. Born and raised there, he went to school at South Cobb High School. After an injury in '98, Jason switched to mellophone in '99. He marched the 1999 Americanos mellophone line. To see Jason's personal website, click here.
Axel Foley is currently in Macon, Georgia, where he attends college. Originally a Floridian, Axel marched soprano with Magic of Orlando in 97, mello in '98, and now marches Madison Scouts. To see Axel's personal website, click here.
III. What is mWo's purpose?
mWo was created for all of the mellophones in the world to unite, and
to be a part of something big. mWo grows bigger everyday, and it's pretty
sharp attached to a signature, as well. mWo is seen in many newsgroups,
including rec.arts.marching.drumcorps and rec.arts.marching.band-highschool.
